At a young age I enjoyed and practiced art through the form of coloring, drawing and painting. Gradually my focus turned toward faces. I looked at my mothers’ magazines and catalogs for inspiration which opened my eyes to the world of make-up, hair styling and fashion. Since then my passion has been to transform women as well as bring out their beauty through make-up.
Throughout the years my family, and my diverse group of friends, have offered tremendous support as they allowed me to use them as test subjects. With that experience I have become undoubtedly skilled at knowing and understanding make-up for different face shapes, types and skin tones which allows me to effectively apply make-up on people of all ethnic backgrounds.
With a range from flawless innocence to sexy sophistication I have the ability to create unique looks that meet individual styles and preferences for brides and bridal parties to quinceañera/sweet sixteen parties, models, men's grooming and those attending special events. As well as the occasional trip to the creative, crazy and sometimes gruesome side of the special effects spectrum.
I have also enjoyed the world of fashion photography -- not only applying the female and male models’ make-up but also coordinating the looks, finding locations, directing the photo shoots and picking up the camera on occasion.
My latest venture is working as a make-up artist and cosmetic consultant for Chanel. I’ve enjoyed working with the other artists, their various products and the vast clientele that Chanel has to offer. The ability to listen to their concerns, professionally address them, and improve their appearance that appeals to their sense of beauty while making the methods simple is very rewarding.
All in all I thrive on the energy of my clients. To be able to enhance their self esteem, add that extra bounce in their step, and see their glowing smile is amazing. I feel truly blessed to be part of the special moments of all my clients lives.
